The Village Consort
Itself a registered charity, Sleaford Choral Society has a history of working on fund-raising projects with small local community groups.  Originally organised on an ad hoc basis and conducted by Neville McFarlane, activities were formalised  under the name The Village Consort.  This comprised members of the Choral Society – but by no means the full choir – who, under the baton of the then Deputy Conductor, Alwyn Kirk, provided light-hearted summer concerts in venues around Sleaford.

Contributions to church fund-raising totalling over £5000 were raised in this way.

Most recently, a group from Sleaford Choral featured in a Christmas concert at Martin Church - see the article below describing the rather eventful, but delightful concert in December 2023.
